I am very saddened by the loss of Liz. She was a GREAT teacher and person. She will be sorely missed by all of the little ones at Delton Kellogg Elementary. She can never be replaced. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

How does one begin to recover from the loss you must be feeling? I am so sorry! I first met Liz in 1961 standing in the cafeteria line at Kellogg. We became fast friends and spent countless hours together over the next five years. Liz taught me to smoke a cigarette, do the twist, and sneak out at night, We jumped on trampolines, swam at Grassy Island, called boys, styled our hair, and laughed incessantly at our seeming ability to outfox Ruth and Kermit. Although I moved away, I saw Liz periodically (lunch last summer) and loved reminiscing about those formative years. Liz's joie de vie made her the center of our group. You will never know how much she meant to me. Please accept my deepest sympathy.

Dear Pat, Molly and Patrick,

I was greatly saddened to read in the paper tonight about Liz's death. We went to school together and have seen each other now and again over the years. A few of us met for lunch last summer at Food Dance and we shared stories and laughs. My thoughts are with you as you celebrate her life and your lives together.

Patrick...how very sad to hear the news from Aivars this evening. It was such a joy to see and hear your voice at your uncle Ralph's memorial service...I am shocked and sddened...and especially because I never had a chance to meet Elizabeth. Gosh, these things happen so suddenly and without warning. Aina and I pray God's healing will embrace you these days...and the sure knowledge that Elizabeth's life mattered in so many ways will sustain you as you continue to grieve. We send our thoughts and love to you and your children. Janis and Aina.

Dear Murph, Molly and Patrick,
The bright light that we all loved and cherished as Liz, has, too soon, become a new bright star.
Our world is a better place because of her always present smile, sincerity, humor, creativity and love. Anyone fortunate enough to have known Liz will continue to be inspired by her creative passion for living!
Our sympathies are with you at this time.
Sincerely,

In a world where uncertainty takes its course, it leaves in its life altering wake a rippling effect of memories. Memories that shatter and awaken us from daily lives and repetitive tasks. The flood of time rushes in, transporting us to places where we remember, remember the love, the laughs, the tickles, the fun, the ups, the downs, the lessons taught, the lessons learned, the hugs, the happiness and the hope, the hope that tomorrow you can live anyone of these memories again, in the vivid colors you now see. My memories will forever be remembered and cherished again and again. Our love and support to the entire Murphy Family.

Dear Murph, Patrick, and Molly,
I have you in my prayers as you gather to honor Liz's life. Know that you are surrounded by friends and family that know how much she loved you.

The girls and I are not able to come to the services but are remembering Liz through fun family stories, expecially the familly camp outs at Hawk's.
